As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and managing existing business within a defined geographical territory, South London & South East, reporting to the National Sales Manager. The role requires up to 4 days per week in the field, focusing on building relationships with key decision-makers, including medical consultants and senior nursing staff. You will need at least 18 months of medical device sales experience, a proven sales track record, and strong account management skills. Experience with procurement channels, NHS OM, and a network of local contacts will be advantageous. Competitive salary based on experience.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Monitor sales metrics and support demand management with accurate forecasting of new business.
• To manage and develop the individual territory through analysis of market intelligence, sales & marketing data.
• To develop a pipeline of business to ensure sustainable growth for the territory.
• Use Account Planning tools to prepare account plans for major / key accounts, in conjunction with other key personnel.
• Provide cover for colleagues and customers outside of the designated Territory when required to support the needs of the business.
• Flexible to carry out any other tasks in accordance with departmental and organisational needs.
• Maintain and manage CRM efficiently and effectively.
• To complete all company administration in a timely and appropriate manner
• Ensure all relevant competitor and pricing information is gathered and communicated to the Sales Manager in a timely and efficient manner as requested.
• Proactively promote and follow HSE practices.
• Manage all customer/ product complaints promptly.
• To have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the company products, policies and objectives.
• Achieve and maintain the necessary credentialling accreditation and adhere to hospital access and registration portals.

Preferred Skills

  • You will have a full and clean driving licence
  • You will have strong written and creative verbal communication skills, good IT knowledge with proficiency using Excel.
  • You will have the ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff
  • Ideally you will have a science related BSc/BA degree or equivalent level of education
  • You will have at least 18 months solid medical device sales experience, with an excellent demonstrable sales track record.
  • Account management experience, experience of selling at medical consultant and senior nursing decision maker level is also essential.
