Following a successful career at Worcester Warriors and Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club Rugby, Jonny Arr has transitioned into the world of medical device sales.
Post contract, Jonny was self-employed for a few years, but seeking new challenges and following guidance from FutureProof Pro, he decided to explore the healthcare industry and enrolled in Med Sales Academy’s Introduction to Medical Device Sales course.
We asked Jonny; why did you decide to move into Medical Device Sales?
“Initially, I was drawn to the teamwork aspect of the role. Not only do you form a close team with your immediate colleagues, but you also become a valued part of external teams within the hospitals you work with. Unsurprisingly, I’m a team player through and through so it has been great to become part of an environment where teamwork is vital. I also love the fact that your products have a genuine and often lifechanging impact on patients. This is a really rewarding part of the role.”
Jonny attended our course, Introduction to Medical Device Sales, back in October 2023. Asked for feedback on the course and Med Sales Academy, Jonny commented:
“Having no background in medical device sales, the course gave a fantastic insight into what life is like within the industry as well as the different roles that are available. Warren was also great with his support once I secured an interview and went out of his way to help me prepare, giving me much needed confidence going into it.”
Med Sales Academy provided cv support and mentoring through the interview process and we are delighted to announce that Jonny Arr has successfully landed a position at Johnson & Johnson as a Sales Specialist – Trauma & Extremities.
The dedication, resilience, and ability to embrace change serve as an inspiration to all aspiring ex professional athlete’s seeking new horizons.
