Med Sales Careers are working with a distributor of ophthalmic products, in the UK & Ireland, who are looking for an experienced Medical Device Application Specialist.  The role is field based covering the UK. You will be working at NHS and Private hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Train end users (Consultants and Nursing staff) across the UK in the application and use of the product. Plus provide ongoing product support.
  • Demonstrate, when required, the equipment and it’s applications to staff in hospitals looking to purchase new equipment.
  • Pass any sales leads or quote requests to the Sales dept.
  • Stay up to date with any new techniques and software upgrades.
  • Full document reporting of installed equipment and staff trained to the line manager.
  • Report competitor activities to the relevant line manager.
  • Promote, where appropriate, the company’s full product portfolio.
  • Report in a timely manner any product faults /issues to the service dept.
  • Attend UK workshops and conferences as and when required.
  • Develop KOL relationships.

Preferred Skills

  • Ophthalmology experience in OCT and Ultrasound
  • Very good written and communication skills, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills
  • A team player with a strong customer focus
